Come Volunteer With Us!

Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering provides numerous benefits that can enrich your personal, social, and professional life. On a personal level, it can give you a sense of purpose, boost your self-esteem, and increase happiness. Socially, it fosters community connections, helps build new friendships, and enhances social skills. Professionally, it allows for skill development and opens up career opportunities.

Volunteers are the heart of our program!  You can learn about disabilities, develop or hone horse handling skills, and learn about the power of the human-animal bond.  This will also be a great opportunity to increase physical fitness and to enjoy the social benefits of volunteering!  For many riders, their time at B.R.E.A.THE. will be the most significant part of their week.  By volunteering with us, you will be helping to ensure that our riders will continue to benefit from the life-enriching power and potential of therapeutic riding.

Volunteer hours may count for school, court or extra-curricular requirements.  Check with your school or administrator to verify before scheduling yourself to volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older and are required to attend a volunteer orientation. Volunteers are trained under the direct guidance of a certified instructor.  Lesson volunteers are required to sign up for a minimum of one shift per week (2 hours), per session.  Sessions run for 4 weeks.
